About us

Adolescent therapy and rehabilitation are the main goals of Cenikor–Odyssey House, a comprehensive mental and behavioral health care facility in Houston, Texas. The facility serves people with co-occurring addiction and mental health illnesses by offering both inpatient and outpatient therapy with a heavy emphasis on the 12-step philosophy. In order to provide a comprehensive road to rehabilitation, Cenikor–Odyssey House’s treatment method combines psychotherapy with evidence-based alternative treatments and recovery-focused life skills training. 
 
Cenikor–Odyssey House’s residential program provides a highly controlled, encouraging atmosphere that is intended to encourage clients in putting their whole attention toward their rehabilitation. Clients get customized treatment programs and individual mental health examinations in addition to having access to on-site exercise and leisure facilities. In addition to receiving thorough case management, residents participate in intense counseling sessions that include family, group, and individual therapy. The curriculum offers classes on coping mechanisms, trauma resolution, communication, anger and stress management, self-care, wellness, and relapse prevention. It also puts a strong emphasis on the development of recovery-focused life skills.
 

Cenikor–Odyssey House provides a range of evidence-based alternative therapies in addition to conventional therapy. Available therapies include experiential therapy, creative arts therapy, and recreational therapy, which enable clients to investigate many facets of their rehabilitation in a creative and encouraging setting. 
 
The center’s extensive continuum of treatment demonstrates its dedication to long-term healing. Clients have access to continuing counseling, recovery education, and supplementary treatment as they advance in their recovery. To ensure that every client is supported at every stage, the center also offers peer coaching, academic and vocational training, help for community reintegration, and referrals for social, mental health, and medical services. 
 
We are honored to have received accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for Cenikor–Odyssey House. They take many forms of payment, including as finance, self-pay, Medicaid, and private insurance. Treatment is accessible to those in need thanks to financial help and sliding scale payment support. 
 
Cenikor–Odyssey House has been a steadfast supporter and ally of those battling addiction and mental health issues for over 60 years.
