About us
Leading drug rehab facility CODA Treatment Recovery is based in Portland, Oregon, and provides a comprehensive variety of programs to assist people in overcoming drug use problems. They provide three different residential programs, each specifically designed to match the requirements of their clients, in addition to outpatient therapy. These services include aftercare, supported housing, medication-assisted therapy, and even virtual treatments. The wide clientele that CODA serves via its programs includes adults, mothers with children, pregnant women, underprivileged groups, and those who are subject to court orders.
Medication-assisted therapy, which is a vital part of helping clients safely manage withdrawal symptoms, is how CODA starts the recovery process. FDA-approved drugs like Vivitrol and Suboxone are given to clients under the cautious supervision of qualified personnel; dosages are adjusted to meet the particular requirements of each patient. This individualized strategy ensures a safer transition into recovery by reducing the risk of overdose and recurrence.
For men and women, the institution provides distinct residential treatment facilities. CODA offers moms with little children a special chance to bring their kids to the treatment facility. The 12-Step method forms the foundation of the residential programs, which provide a safe and secure setting where clients may concentrate on their rehabilitation. At first, residents may just be able to enjoy their allotted rooms and meals, but as they advance via meetings and group projects, they are granted more rights, such going on trips and having private time.
Similar all-inclusive care, such as counseling, patient and family education, and ongoing care support, is provided by CODA’s outpatient treatment programs. These services are offered to clients and their families on a flexible schedule, Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The Stepping Stone program, one of CODA’s specialist initiatives, is intended especially for mothers with children who are on the verge of poverty. Up to 14 women and 28 children may be housed in these programs in facilities run by an on-site manager who also provides outpatient therapy and parenting support. To further aid in their rehabilitation, individuals may also access additional social assistance to address their fundamental requirements.
Substance use disorders have a significant influence on a person’s thoughts and behavior, often resulting in an inability to manage one’s use of substances like alcohol, prescription pharmaceuticals, or illicit or legal narcotics. CODA is dedicated to assisting people impacted in regaining control of their life and acknowledges the harmful nature of these conditions. CODA is available to provide a route to recovery, regardless of how the drug use is interfering with one’s family, career, or health.
Since its founding in 1969, CODA, Inc. has expanded to rank among the biggest non-profit drug treatment organizations in Oregon. CODA offers Oregon’s most comprehensive and integrated treatment for drug use disorders, with 14 programs spread over 10 locations.
SAMHSA listed CODA, demonstrating its dedication to provide top-notch treatment and assistance to individuals in need.

We understand that choosing an addiction treatment center can be overwhelming, especially with so many options, promises, and marketing messages. Thatโs why weโve developed a clear, standardized rating system designed to cut through the noise and highlight what truly matters: safety, quality of care, and transparency. Our goal is to give individuals and families the information they need to make confident, informed decisions during a critical time.
In this guide, we explain exactly how we rate treatment centersโfrom accreditation and staff credentials to therapy options, facility environment, and family involvement. Youโll see how we assign scores, award badges, and update listings to ensure accuracy and fairness. Most importantly, our system focuses on elevating centers that prioritize ethical, evidence-based care, not just those with the best marketing. This way, you can trust that the ratings you see reflect meaningful standards that help you find the right fit for lasting recovery.
