About us
Mental health and substance use disorders are treated at the Jim Taliaferro Community Mental Health Center (CMHC). The center is a certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic that offers a range of programs that are trauma-informed, culturally competent, and combined to meet the needs of children, teens, adults, soldiers, and families. Inpatient and outpatient Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) is one of many treatment choices available at the center, which makes sure that healing is approached from all angles. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), couples and family therapy, group therapy, integrated dual disorders treatment, solo psychotherapy, and trauma-focused therapy are some of the types of therapy that the center offers. Jim Taliaferro CMHC is dedicated to providing ongoing support, so its staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to meet the needs of all of its clients.
The center is run by the Oklahoma State Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse, which shows that it is committed to providing high-quality, easy-to-reach care to everyone who wants to get better.

8.6
Out of 10
We understand that choosing an addiction treatment center can be overwhelming, especially with so many options, promises, and marketing messages. Thatโs why weโve developed a clear, standardized rating system designed to cut through the noise and highlight what truly matters: safety, quality of care, and transparency. Our goal is to give individuals and families the information they need to make confident, informed decisions during a critical time.
In this guide, we explain exactly how we rate treatment centersโfrom accreditation and staff credentials to therapy options, facility environment, and family involvement. Youโll see how we assign scores, award badges, and update listings to ensure accuracy and fairness. Most importantly, our system focuses on elevating centers that prioritize ethical, evidence-based care, not just those with the best marketing. This way, you can trust that the ratings you see reflect meaningful standards that help you find the right fit for lasting recovery.
