Adults with mental illness that affects their daily lives can get a wide range of mental health services at West River Mental Health part of Behavior Management System in Spearfish, South Dakota. The center helps people get better mental health and better functioning by managing their psychiatric medications, providing individual therapy, and managing their cases. The center helps a lot of different kinds of adults and doesn’t focus on gender- or faith-based programs, so everyone can get care there. 
 
Outpatient counseling, Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), services for people with more than one disorder, and education and help for families are some of the programs offered by the facility. West River Mental Health uses treatments that have been shown to work, like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), managing medications, and both solo and group therapy. The ACT program is designed to help people with severe mental illness live happily in the community. Case managers create individualized care plans for each person. West River Mental Health is accredited by The Joint Commission, which means that all of their clients get high-quality care and are safe.
